Island Tour (Full day)

A full or half day excursion around Sal with an opportunity for a 'float' in the local salt mine waters of the vulcano. Leaving Santa Maria you travel to the bay of Murdeira for a quick stop while the guide explains some of the rich history of Sal before you then travel to Palmeira, followed by Burracona to see the natural phenomena, the ‘Blue Eye’ and you visit Terra Boa where you see the extraordinary mirages on the desert. Next onto Sal’s capital, Espargos . After a lunch break we will take you onto 'Sharks Bay' to see the lemon sharks. Finally the highlight of the tour is Salinas salt mines of Pedra da Lume. Here you can take a dip in the salt waters where you can float in the water just as in the Dead Sea, well worth experiencing. You then head back to Santa Maria and to your hotel.
